A parent once told me that he told each of his children that he or she was his favorite. Similarly, many birders answer “What’s your favorite bird?” with “The one I’m looking at.” And so it is with blogs! My favorite blog is the one I’m reading.
Many of you are outstanding scientists in your own right. Others are phenomenal birders, or writers, or photographers, or artists. Still others are “ordinary people” like me. I enjoy reading all of you. There’s no one right model for nature blogs, and one of the many things I like about being part of the NBN is the incredible diversity of style and approach that it brings to my attention.
So blog away, friends, colleagues, and awesome, well-known birders, and keep inviting your nature-blogging friends to join us and put the Nature Blog Network badge on their front page.
