Newest Blogs in the Network: New Process

I’m not listing new members this week as we transition to a new process for welcoming our fellow nature bloggers to the network. New members will still be added to the toplist as before, but won’t be announced here until they’ve added the NBN logo to their blog. This will let us separate joining the network from welcoming new members, speeding up the first and most important part of the process.

Here are the new steps for joining:

  1. Sign up using the web form
  2. The NBN team will assess the suitability of your blog for inclusion in the network. Applications for enrollment are usually reviewed weekly.
  3. You will receive an email if your blog is accepted. Once you have received the confirmation email, either use the tracking code included in the e-mail or log in to access the html code for the badge for your blog. Install the code (which will render a small Nature Blog Network badge) on your blog; the sidebar seems to be the best place for this code.
  4. Use the contact form or email Wren to let us know that the badge is now installed. Include your blog name and url. Also include your city and state, province, or country if you’d like your blog added to the NBN map.
  5. When we hear from you and and have confirmed that the badge is displayed and functional, we’ll announce your blog on our “Newest Blogs in the Network” weekly post.

Check back next week for new members and more.
