I posted a six-minute movie of a feeding porcupine, shot at close range, to my regular blog (which isn't in the network since it's not purely a nature blog). It won't win any film awards, but it seemed to be a hit with the readership, most of whom are not "nature people" per se. http://www.vianegativa.us/2008/11/25/porcupine-in-a-tree/

This is a tremendous idea and one I hope the rest of the community takes advantage of! Let me kick off the festivities by announcing that this next week will be Review Week at 10,000 Birds. Our goal is to post one new bird/birding book or product review a day for at least the next seven days.

Wish us luck and be sure to stop by!
