If you have contests or promotions, want to share a new project you’re involved in, share a cause you believe in, have items you wish to sell, want to solicit feedback from the NBN community, or anything else that might be of interest to our members, don’t hesitate to send it in!
Submissions can be sent to sanderling [at] symbiotic [dot] ca, with the subject line “NBN Bulletin Board”. Don’t forget to include your blog’s name and URL. The weekly board will be posted every Sunday.
Member-supported causes
A number of weeks ago we introduced the 10,000 Birds Conservation Club, organized by NBN’s Mike and his fellow 10,000 Birds bloggers. It’s a fabulous initiative that helps to direct conservation funds where they’re most needed, while rewarding the club members. Are you interested, but still haven’t gotten around to joining? Or perhaps want to join but feeling penny-pinched after the holidays? Wren is offering to fund the first year of membership for four individuals. Contests and Promotions
Kirk of Twin Cities Naturalist is holding a photo caption contest at his blog. He’s provided an un-captioned photo, you provide the words. Winners receive the highly desirable respect and admiration of their peers. More details can be found here.
Amber of Birder’s Lounge is continuing her photo ID challenge for 2010 under the name Challenge for Charity. Try your hand at identifying a series of photos; the person with the most correct receives a $10 donation to the charity of their choice.
