Then the more, a message from NBN guru Mike Bergin with a mission, should you choose to accept it..
As some of you know, I have the singular honor of moderating the discussion on blog carnivals at the upcoming ScienceOnline’09 sciblogging conference. In the interest of being as thorough as possible, I want to know which blog carnivals YOU favor, especially from the perspective of someone interested in nature and science. Which do you read and which do you participate in. While you’re at it, do you have any particular questions about any aspect of blog carnivals? If so, lay them on me!
So? What are you waiting for? Lay them on him in the comments…

Festival of Trees participated a few times I have more to come, Oekologie - participated once, and more recently Blog Book Review where I offer recommendations of children’s science book.
See you in a couple of weeks.
Thanks DN. Are you going to ScienceOnline too? I look forward to meeting you.
I have a new one I’m letting people know about! Carnival of the Arid, featuring science, environment, culture, politics and travel in the world’s deserts. Set to launch February 1. More info at http://faultline.org/index.php/site/item/carnival_of_the_arid_february_1/.
Chris, I for one am very excited about your new carnival, as I respect both the topic and the editor. You’ll definitely get a submission from 10,000 Birds!
I think the idea of a carnival is great, but the execution of it must be well done, easy to use and follow. I love Festival of the Trees for its clarity and ease of use. I have also participated in I and the Birds, though being a reluctant birder, not as often… You bird nerds are just a little too obsessive for me!
I’ve participated in I and the Bird, Festival of the Trees, and Circus of the Spineless, and hosted IATB (once) and FotT (twice).
I find them a great way to find new blogs to read and follow, and hopefully some other readers are finding my blog the same way.
