Author April Lorier was raised in the pristine majesty of the Gila National Forest of New Mexico. Growing up as the daughter of a Christian pastor, April learned to love nature as an expression of God’s creativity as well as a provision of His love for humanity.

As an adult, April has enjoyed her life amid the natural beauty of the Channel Islands area on the Southern California coast. She secured her place in California history as a children’s rights crusader who successfully campaigned for the passage of the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act, signed into law by Ronald Reagan – a fellow nature-loving Californian.

April’s latest book, “God’s Battered Child”, continues to change the lives of victims of abuse around the world as she continues her concern for the wounded who seek God’s acceptance and healing. Through her blogs, websites and articles, April is recognized as an inspiring authority in the field of Christian recovery from abuse. She has been called a ‘minister of encouragement’ by many.

The posts on Christian Nature highlight April Lorier’s experience as a dog and bird breeder, a CEO of a horticultural corporation, a pet lover, a nature photographer, an award-winning poet and a follower of Jesus Christ.
